We didn't change Script Editor from 1.7 to 1.8.3 so we saved you the
download time by not including it. If you choose "About
AppleScript..." in Script Editor you should see 1.8.3, but if you
choose "About Script Editor" it will say 1.7. And the Get Info
window on Script Editor will say 1.7, of course, because you're
getting the info of the Script Editor.
Yes, of course. It's not my day.
All this X files thing is turning my mind :-)
Whne are you going to get Scrpt Editor to open Dictionary windows
properly. Give Ed Lai a call and get him to sort it out. It's never
been right and at least he had a fix for the old version. And on the
same topic, what gives with the BBEdit dictionary? In Smile it won't
open at all and in Script Editor BBEdit has to launch before SE can
read its dictionary. I think it's their bug and not yours.
I have always found it very tiresome to have to dismiss a noisy
dialog whenever I make a mistake. Why can't we have a less intrusive
warning and be allowed to get on without dismissing the thing?
Surely it's time for _some_ improvement in this ancient program?
