_AppleScript in a Nutshell_ is a great reference book but not much of a
tutorial. I'd suggest getting a copy of _Danny Goodman's AppleScript
Handbook_. It's somewhat outdated but I think it's the best basic
tutorial around. There's a classic set of articles by Bill Briggs that
make up the "AppleScript Primer". You can find them at <
