Why does this not surprise me? Entourage AppleScripting is implemented by
Mac developers who understand AppleScript thoroughly. A lot of the Apple
apps' scripting appears to be have been implemented by Unix engineers
told
to "add AppleScript" without really understanding it. I look forward
(sort
of) to getting to grips with this next week when I get Jaguar.

As I recall, there was to be a single engineer that was to
coordinate the AppleScript implementation for each application team,
resulting in more consistency in the object models and terminology. I
learned this on a visit to Apple just prior to the release of OS X. Does
anyone know if this has changed in the interim?
