Hi,

AppleScript can deal with (though not always display) all sorts of text, and the equivalent in Eudora or Outlook Express would give no problems, though Outlook Express will also send UTF-8 as an option. However, OE and,
so far as I know Entourage, do not have Unicode-enabled editing windows.
I'm only guessing but I should think this has something to do with the bug and you'll either have to use a better-developed mailer or put up with Mail until it gets better. It looks pretty awful to me.

I don't have OE or Eudora so I can't try ... but it won't work with other Apps I have ... won't work with TextEdit (see my last posting), won't work with OmniOutliner (all of those pretty export scripts don't work with umlauts) ... well, I'll see how it looks in Jaguar ...

Christina
