Good point. Thanks Chris. I was asking, because I had a 'contains' error that I thought was being caused by the styled text. Turns out it was just poor scripting on my part.
while I was at it, I did speed test some reps of coercing the styled text to plain text, and found (for however many repeats it was that I used):
alias as string --> 2
alias as string as plain text--> 165
