OS X Folder Actions

  • Subject: OS X Folder Actions

Is there any way to prevent folder actions from stealing the limelight when
they run in OS X?

If I export an image from Photoshop into a folder with an action attached,
Photoshop's palettes flicker in and out of existence in a most disconcerting
manner while the folder action runs. Putting a line (or several) into the
script telling Photoshop to activate or making it the frontmost process
doesn't help.

For speed and efficiency, folder actions beat the alternative of 'watching'
a folder with a stay-open applet hands down, but the flickering really bugs
me.

Thanks

Mr Tea
