Capturing video using AppleScript

Can anyone think of a way to control the capturing of video (from a
Quicktime compatible DV-Bridge) via AppleScript?

I just need to setup a file, start recording for some time, and then stop
recording. Is this possible using AppleScript?

Don't make me tackle it in Java. :)

Regards,

-Rob
