i wonder if there is a scriptable faxsoftware for the mac.
i know, there are: faxexpress and faxSTF. but scriptable?

anyone out there having experiences scripting these softwares?

Both applications are moderately scriptable but Fax Express (Fax Elite in the US) <http://www.faxexpress.co.uk/> comes out way on top IMHO. I have a very simple script which downloads the latest Daily Telegraph crossword and faxes it to my father in Portugal every morning at 7:00 am.

Works fine.

In a nutshell: open file in appropriate application; change printer; set some Fax Express settings (fax no, etc); print from application; change printer back again. Fax Express ships with a small application to which you pass all your fax specific AppleScript commands - including changing the printer in the chooser.

This all assumes OS < 10 of course.
