Tex-Edit: select after insertion point
Tex-Edit: select after insertion point

I am trying to tell Tex-Edit to select a number of
characters after the insertion point. In OS X "after" doesn't seem to
work like "before" does, even though the dictionary suggests it
should.
Any ideas? Alternative ways of selecting text based on the cursor's current
position?
