Software update claims there are updates and enhancements to AppleScript in this update. However, for all the things that the KBase article mentions, I see no mention of AppleScript. Any ideas what's been fixed/changed/updated/added?

I can't speak for AppleScript itself, but Mail has had a number of significant holes in our terminology plugged. Most notably, the main window can be scripted (both message and mailbox selection) and AppleScript rules are finally available as an option in the rules panel.
