This is why Cal isn't around anymore. He no longer needs to write
scripts for a living.
Apparently Photoscripter was just essential enough for enough people
that they wanted it in spite of the price, and priced just low enough
that no one tried to reengineer it and compete with it.
I'm guessing that he was able to retire early.
When I looked at what we'd have to pay for a license to use it here (we
accept work from just about anyone, it would have been something like
$25K for an open license), I about fainted and decided there really
wasn't that much need to script Photoshop beyond what we can already do
with Actions or OneClick. My lord, I might be able to get a custom
application to work on the raw graphics files and do what I'd need for
that price.
