For which I have been very grateful - it's saved god knows how many lines of
code. And though I am using OS X to get up to speed with it, our policy here
is not to install it until the classic environment can be removed entirely,
(sorry Apple) so I will be scripting on OS 9.x for some while - for that
matter we still have quite a few OS 8.x installs around. So RegEx has some
legs on it yet.

When OS X is becomes our Mac SOE, then a lot of my Apple Script activity
will give way to PERL.
