I've restyled it to
set plain_text to (text of (styled_text as record)) as string

Why I use it ?
When parsing XML with Mark Alldritt's wonderful 'XML Tools' you are always
returned a styled text and when importing this text in a textbox in Facespan
it's doesn't get the correct font. When adding just a clean string
everything stays in the default font.
