It's _very_ scriptable -- they just don't seem to want to talk about it. You
need to install the Scripting Support plug-in, which is hidden away on the
install CD in a folder called something like SDKs. There's also excellent
documentation in PDF form in the same place.

There are also improvement in the scriptability in v10.
