the current debate over case v. next repeat is stimulating, but it begs
a more interesting question, in my view. rather than hoping and pleading
for more features of "real" languages in AppleScript, I'd like to know
what the likliehood is of seeing other languages made available as osa
components for OS X.
I've always thought that the notion of multiple osa component languages
was a _good_ thing and part of the reason for having osa in the first
place. I know about JavaScript OSA, and yeah, I'm talking about Python,
Perl, Tcl, whatever, as an OSA component.
what's the Apple position on development and promotion of additional osa
language components for OS X? is it something like "sure, we are happy
to support any third party developer who wises to take this on", or
might it be more interesting than that?
