JavaScript OSA, from Mark Alldritt and Late Night Software:

The learning curve is more difficult than for AppleScript,
but it is worth it. Perl-like regular expressions, advanced
string, array, and object methods, and Mark's amazing support
and feedback, make JSOSA a joy to work with.

It is still a young OSA language, however, and as such there
are still things in development, such as support for "whose"
clauses, and certain aspects of terminology don't always work
the way you might think, but in time, these problems should be
resolved.
