Jay,
It's possible to control an active document's view in Acrobat via
AppleScript (changing the view mode (just pages, pages and thumbnails, pages
and bookmarks) but not the actual Open Options of the document. (As far as I
know...)
I was able to do it with a combination of AppleScript and QuicKeys.

Subject: Bookmarks View in Acrobat 4
I have been using Distiller to make PDF files, and when I send these
files out, I would like the Bookmarks to be showing to the left (when
opened on another machine), but can't figure out how to do this with a
script (if it's possible at all). What I need to do is select the File
Menu and then select Document Info from there and then select Open...
from the submenu. This will bring up a dialog window where I can select
a radio button next to Thumbnails and Bookmarks. I don't know if this
is possible without Prefab, OneClick or something like that. Just
curious if anyone has any ideas? Thanks for your help!
Jay
