AS 1.8.2b1 and X.1.3

Is it a good idea to upgrade to AS 1.8.2b1 having done the upgrade to OS X.1.3?

I'm having odd problems with 1.8.1, so I thought I'd give 1.8.2b1 a try.

Any thoughts?
