You bet -- see http://www.lists.apple.com/mailman/listinfo/applescript-studio.

- Did someone get the idle handler in an AppleScript Studio app to work ? I works well in normal Stay open App's, but in cocoa it doens't seem to get called. That is, I have to put a "delay 1" and "idle" to call the function manually. Bad :/

This came up recently on applescript-studio. According to David Martin <email@hidden>:

Don't forget to check the "idle" switch in Interface Builder !
Open your MainMenu.nib project file in Interface Builder, click the "File's Owner" icon, and then in the AppleScript info pane, check Application/idle, applied to your main script.
