Hi Stephen,

Our Macscript.com Library contains several read/write functions which may help you. You can
download a 30-day demo from:

<http://www.macscript.com/products/library/prodhome.html>

Have a look at the examples/documentaion relating to creating/writing to files. If you are
new to AppleScript, this could save you from several hours of hair-pulling.

Please note that if you are running Mac OS 9.2.2 (with AppleScript 1.7), you may have
trouble creating files because of bugs in that version of AppleScript. Apple is presumably
working on a fix...???

Hope this helps,

Steven Angier
