Osaxen not loading at first

Hi all,

I have stay-open scripts that launch at startup. Most of the time they work well, but from time to time they will fail. For example, something like

display dialog "the string"

will fail with a stupid error message that says that "the string" didn't understand <<event sysodlog>>- done from my memory- or even a single beep will fail with a more or less similar message.

Now I realize they're all standard additions commands. Some other times, a command from a custom osax will also fail. So it seems that sometimes osaxen are not loaded when they should be. Is there a foolproof way to avoid that? For example, a few seconds delay- I really don't like that- or something like

run script ""

that would force load the osaxen?

Systems are mostly 8.6 and I would not want to change them now, they're on servers that are mostly stable w/o these little glitches.

Thanks,

Serge
