Eric,
I'm pretty sure that this feature will be available in QXP 5.0 Currently
there are a handful of freeware/shareware/commercial extensions that you can
add to handle the running of compiled scripts. I use a freeware solution
provided by Visions Edge Software called Script Manager XT (not to be
confused with ScriptMaster Extension which provides recordability, but is
costly, and I think it writes proprietary code)
Script Manager doesn't provide recordability, but it has run very stable for
me for a couple of years now, has a neat feature for naming boxes, and
allows you to sequentially run scripts. The scripts are provided via a
palette as opposed to a pull down menu. You can find it, as well as a
handful of other nice freebies at:

Check the downloads area.
