Volume question

  • Subject: Volume question
  • From: Stefaan Degryse <email@hidden>

Hello all,

Say that I have two machines on the network (A and B) which both have a
volume with the same name ('FirstVolume') and that of machine A is mounted
on my desktop.

How do I figure out that the one I want to use is that of machine B, so I
should ignore the mounted one from machine A?

The Get Info dialog of a mounted volume (in my case a Ethershare volume)
says something like the following 'FirstVolume, Sunblade (192.168.168.16)
via TCP/IP'

Is this at all possible to retrieve with applescript?

TIA

Take care
Stef,
