AS101: scripts for distribution - various Qs

  • Subject: AS101: scripts for distribution - various Qs

I'm working on a small script for public distribution.
The script acts on the filesystem - some 'duplicates'
and 'moves'. It targets specific system files (their
paths are known).

How do I ensure the paths I set don't break? Is there
a wildcard in AS at all? Something like UNIX?
/dirname/*/dirname/*/filename

Or do I have to make the app get the 'home' property
for "Finder" and pass the values to a variable and
then use the variable in my paths?

(christ, AS doesn't do anything the easy way) =)

Tnx. CJ
