Actually this didn't work. In both Project Builder and Script Editor I got the error message:

Mail got an error:
NSReceiverEvaluationScriptError: 4

I guess that doesn't mean much. I tried "close this_message saving no" but it didn't work either.

Maybe I need a training class.

Insert it into the script immediately after the line that sends the email. By the way, 'saving' has a parameter of 'no' (as shown above) which causes the window to close immediately, you can change that to either 'yes' or 'ask'. 'yes' will always try to save the email, 'ask' will prompt you for what you what to do with it.
