That was for the first release of iTunes. The current release is fully
scriptable with its own dictionary, and Apple has posted a bunch of scripts
for it to the AppleScript site (or is it the iTunes site?).
Due to a bug, at least in Mac OS X, you have to drag the iTunes application
icon onto the Script Editor icon to open the dictionary. It won't open from
within Script Editor.
