Thanks to Andre and also Allen Burnett for this little tidbit, and to
Allen about the tip for the scripting hack.
This recalls the rant I posted on a newsgroup just today about having
manuals that are only accessible by text searching... I really did try
to get this answer from the help file to no avail, though now that I
search on "Get info" all is clear. Little did I expect that such would
represent the only way to do mass input.
Anyway, except for the manual -- I'm *liking* ITunes. I've only just
been introduced to the wonders of MP3. I never expected that such an
obvious application of compression could be so very useful. I now have
about 30 of my favorite CDs on the computer at work taking up little
over 2GB. Another 30 or 40 imports and I'll never have to bring a CD
into work again unless it's new.
All I need now is an IPod. Will someone tell my wife to hurry up and
graduate so we can afford lots of toys again?
Michael
