OS X - Make new Finder window bug

  • Subject: OS X - Make new Finder window bug

In OS X Finder preferences, I've checked the option to have new Finder
windows open with my home folder as the target, but when I tell the
Finder to make a new Finder window in a script, the target is always the
computer. What's going on there?

And a related question...

Is it possible to set the target (& bounds & view options) of a new
window when (rather than after) it opens? I tried 'make new Finder window
with properties {target:alias "my disk:my folder"} etc. to no avail.
Surely this sort of thing should be possible now, given the hugely
altered nature of Finder windows in OS X.

Cheers

Mr Tea
