I'd trade backward compatibility for faster scripts, thread/multi-process
safety, and a modern scripting addition api (including a more intuitive
interface for implementors); I agree, keep the AppleScript syntax, but let's
move on. OS X has broken all my scripts anyhow, so now's a good time as any.
