A straightforward problem...
I have a mail checker applet that keeps tabs on incoming mail when Outlook
Express is running in OS 9. It's a stay open app that gets launched, run,
and quit by scripts triggered from OE schedules.
But the applet hops around in the dock like a demented bunny every time it
runs if I use OE in "Classic" mode within OS X.
I'm sure there must be a simple way for a script to check if it's running in
classic or otherwise, but the will to figure it out for myself has failed
me. Any suggestions gratefully received, modular or otherwise... :-)
Ultimately, though, I'd like to see the mail checker applet run happily in
classic, rather than just shutting it out. But first I need to find out what
the heck this means:
NSreceiverevaluationscripterror: 3
...that being the error code that the applet displays when it tries to run
in classic. All I could glean from the ADC documentation was that Cocoa (the
clown) doesn't have a clue what to do.
