Help with moving the trash

Hello,

I am still new to AppleScripting, and I have a problem that I can9t seem to
solve. It might be a simple thing, I am not sure. I am writing a script to
set the resolutions for our computers in our lap to certain sizes, based on
the display they have, we have three different kinds, iMac (graphite), 172
Flat Panels, and the old G4 Multiple Scan Display. We are running 9.2 off a
NetBoot Server, and that is why we need this script.

I successfully did that section of my script, thanks to Jon9s Commands.
However, when I add in a couple of lines to move the trash to the bottom
right of the screen, I run into a problem. I generated that part of my
script with the record function of the Script Editor, and it gave me:

(Begin Script)

tell application 3Finder2
activate
select trash
set position of selection to {1216, 924}
end tell

(End Script)

When I run it, it gives me an error:

Finder got an error: This window is the wrong kind (e.g. pop-up vs. normal)
to use this command

How can the trash be a pop up? I figured the script generated by the record
function would not have much of a problem.

Thanks,
