If you are bound and determined to use RA Status in 9.1 there are two
possibilties.
1) There is a rogue OSAX out there somewhere that patches the bug, it is
hard to get running and temperamental but works well when it works. Search
the ubiquitous Google to scare it up.

2) And I quote:
"If you need RAstatus to know if you 're connected, I found a trick; get
the property IP adress of TCPIPv4 configuration, if it's "0.0.0.0":
you're not connected, otherwise yes"
I have not tried this trick and don't know how to script it but it might be

worth a try.
