Applescript within QuicKeys: Determine application interrupted by script

  • Subject: Applescript within QuicKeys: Determine application interrupted by script

I have written scripts to move a window to a variety of positions on the screen (left, right, up, down etc.). These most useful if executed by a hot key, so I have programmed the script within QuicKeys.

The problem is that (in OS X at least), the active application when the script runs is QuicKeys ("(name of me) as string" --> QuicKeys).

Is there a convenient way to determine the application that was interrupted by QuicKeys so that the frontmost window of that application can be moved?
