This is not an Applescript problem, but does affect people running
multiple processes, including some classic processes.
If you startup classic at login and you place information on the
clipboard within a classic application and then switch to an OS X
application you may find that the OS X application in the foreground
slows down to a crawl (running 10-100 times slower than normal, so
slow that you may think it has frozen).
You can workaround this problem by simply not starting classic at
login. It will start when the first application program is started.
The problem does not occur if you do this (but don't ask me why).
