I just bought Script Debugger 3 and I'm bummed. I can't work the way I
did with Smile. I talked to Latenight Software about my problem and I
was hoping one of you might shed some light. I work with applets that
are over 1200 lines and are stored on a SCSI raid connected to a Dual
800 OSX Server. I'm at my Quicksilver 733 editing these applets. With
Smile I was able to make a change and hit save. The script compiled and
saved. Life was good. Now with SD3 when I make a change and hit save I
get progress bars: "Compiling...", then "Getting Source...", then
"Preparing to display", then "Storing Script", then an error dialog
"File is busy -47." The file busy error only happens when I'm working
directly off the server, but that's how I prefer to work. There is a
work around. If I make my change and then compile there is network
activity for a few seconds. When that stops I can hit save. If anyone
can suggest a fix I'd appreciate it.

SD is attachable. You can trap the save command, and make it do a compile
first.

Thanks for the tip Shane. I just don't follow it.
When I hit save it is compiling first and then it does something else. This "something else" doesn't matter when my app is saved locally (I never get the busy error when saving changes to my HD), but it does matter to the app saved on the server. I assumed someone would blame our network for being too slow, but I was hoping that someone would tell me to disable the flux capacitor and it would stop doing that "something else" during the save.
