I am pleased that you recognized my message as a joke. I regretted sending it, and feel I should apologize (sometimes I hit send before thinking).

I subscribe to Carnigie's theory that apology and thanks should be profuse and public, while criticism should be private. That theory seems even more appropriate on a list, where signals sometimes get crossed. My message was also inappropriate because it contributed noise & not meaning.

Yes, PHP is not relevant to Applescript...

In reviewing the responses to my request I actually had to look up acronyms.

I did and I still do suspect you were joking but you ought to know that you did contribute to my education. I'm sure you were talking about the Hypertext Preprocessor which I now know exists. I doubt that i will ever go there though.
