Hello all,

New to Macs and looking for simple quick way to access the apple menu.
Analogous to using the Windows key on a PC keyboard. Not sure if there
is already a keyboard shortcut for this or if need to write a script
for this functionality.

Look into Connectix "Copy Agent", if you are using OS 9.x. It includes a utility called "turbokeys" which emulates Windoze behavior with _any_ menu - a keystroke for the menu (with selecting letter underlined in the menubar, "a" for the apple menu), then an underlined key for menu items. Plus the copy agent part of it is really superb. I use it for daily backups to firewire of my documents folder.
