Gary,
FMPro for OSX has PDF built in; no plug-ins, gyrations, etc.
necessary. just print, choose Output Options, and check off Save
As File: PDF. Save your print options in a script and you're all
set. someone mentioned v6, but it's just as easy in v5.5.

Has anyone identified a good way to script output to PDF or
Postscript? Are there any tools like PreFab Player available on X
to help with this?
Thanks,
Gary
