batch process rename file

hello everybody

i would like to know if i can find a applescript for do the following things
:

i need to rename a lot file (.gif and .html)....but i would like rename all
file with a specific name...and not simply adding a suffix number or name...

I would like rename all file using a text file base where are include all
new name...

For example...i have a folder where i have 100 file with name like :
pict.gif, car.gif, mobil.gif, 656.gif.....and i would like the apple script
change all this name from a texte file base where i have all my new
name...like...name1, anothername, againanother, againagainanother.....

i hope you undestand what i try to explain...
