Youpi Key lets you mimic keyboard (and menu) events

Reading this, I went and downloaded Youpi key. However, checking it's scripting dictionary, it doesn't appear to let you pass an arbitary string to its "simulate keyboard" function. Does anyone know of a simple OSX app which'll accept a string via AppleEvents and "type" it out for you. I'm thinking of something like Sandi's additions here.

TIA
