A user has reported AS 1.8.2 showing in "About AppleScript" of Script

I can't answer your question, because I installed 1.8.2b3 (and then I ended
up with 1.8.2b4, I think, but I can't remember where that came from -- AS
Studio 1.1?).
But I have a question of my own. Both my computers are running Mac OS X
10.1.5 now, and both have an applescript.component file in
/System/Library/Components bearing the version 1.8.2, as expected, and the
identical modification date of March 28, 2002. However, on one machine the
applescript.component icon has a big, flashy red X drawn over it. Why is
that? I've never noticed it before. AppleScript works just fine despite the
X.
