Yes, tried that. It still imported only a reference.
But if you import images manually, with the "Store compa..." checked, and
"store only a reference" UNchecked. will the images be visble on windows?
This is important to verify before using the suggestions below.

The AS is a standalone droplet.
There are two options:
1- create a hard coded image import FMscript that imports from a known
folder, using a hardcoded image name like "importme". In a loop, use an
applescript to move an image into the import folder, rename it to
"importme" call the FMscript to import it.
ad nauseum. A Standalone applet will work here.
2- If you are NOT using OSX, you can use AkuaSweets to read the JPEG
data, convert it to PICT, set it into the container. A Standalone or
embedded AS will work here.
