Scripting Java apps?

  • Subject: Scripting Java apps?

I'm looking for a way to handle Apple Events from Java so that
I can use AppleScript to control it. I've seen Apple's tech note
TN 1162: Introduction to MRJ Scripting with AppleScript for
Java. The method given therein sounds utterly simple and just
what I'm looking for, but I haven't had any luck in getting MRJ to
automatically generate the 'aete' resource.

Has anyone else tried this method and gotten it to work? Recently?
TN 1162 was last updated in Feb. 2000, so I wonder if part of the
problem is that it's out of date.

Thanks for any help!
