Un wanted files on the desktop, Deleting launch preferences

Hi all,

We have an issue at our school where student are saving unwanted files
to the desktop instead of the server. What we wish to be able to delete
these unwanted files via and reset the desktop to a default using apple
scripts. On the desktop should only be the hard drive and the printer &
trash icon.

The other thing we need to do is delete the launcher prefs file. So it
returns to a set size and location.

I should mention that I am a beginner in applescripts but have a good
knowledge of programming

With thanks

Chris
