Help! "info for" in 9.2.2 and AS 1.7 = lockup!

Pardon if this is a known problem but I just ran into it and am wondering
if others have seen it... I know there were several changes in AS 1.7 that
have affected some scripts. I just ran into a situation where it seems that
attempting to
set i to info for path_to_a_file
is locking up my Mac... to the point that I can't even force quit Script
Debugger.
If I do
set i to info for path_to_a_folder
it seems to work just fine. It seems to only be when the string is a path
to a _file_ that the lock-up occurs.
This is on OS 9.2.2 with AS 1.7 and using Script Debugger 2.0.5. Is it just
me, or has anyone else seen this? Any suggestions for a fix or a way around
it?
