[OS X]getting email addresses with AppleScript

  • Subject: [OS X]getting email addresses with AppleScript

Is there any way to get a list of email addresses (or even just the current user's email address) on a machine via an AppleScript script? I don't mean by scripting Mail, but by somehow accessing the same information that the System Preferences/Internet tool gets and can manipulate. It doesn't look like System Preferences are scriptable at all, but perhaps there is some shell script command that can be executed in an AppleScript script that could return this information.

Thanks for any pointers or help,

Don
