migrating a Eudora script to Mail.app

Hi Folks,

I'm going to move a script I'm using with Eudora for use with Mail.app but I can't seem to figure out how to get the To, From, Subject, etc of a message selected in the front most mailbox. With Eudora I use "message 0" is there any analogue in mail.app

Any help would be most appreciated!
