Newbie queston of the day...

I'm learning AppleScript, I LOVE what it looks like it can do. Is it OK
to ask newbie questions here? For example, what is a watched folder, and
how do I set one up using AS? If this is not a good place for questions
from new users, can someone point me there? If this is OK, I'll greatly
appreciate any help in learning AS.
