Currently that's how I do it.. The screensaver comes on after 5 minutes, the
hard disk never goes to sleep and either does the system. All I have to do
is put my mouse in the corner to activate the screensaver and then my
applescripts do not work until I deactivate the screensaver...

I cant deactivate the screensaver since Im on a PB G4 with the lcd screen..
Well I can, but I'd rather not ruin my screen :)
