That's flawed in two ways:
1) You can't reference it as 0. Character 0 and item 0 return errors. I
have to add 1 to every item in my list which is extra work (for the
processor not for me) if that's the case.
2) None of characters before the first tab at character 5 are tab. So 0
shouldn't be in that list.

That's my fault for reading the documentation. If I hadn't read it, I
wouldn't put the "as list" there (it's in the scripts I downloaded from
www.quark.com/support
